DUŠAN OTAŠEVIĆ He was born in Belgrade 1940. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade (1966). Member of the Association of Serbian Artists (ASA)since 1967. He worked as a lecturer at the private Academy of Fine Arts. Elected coresponding member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SASA) in 2003, and full memeber in 2009. Director of the Gallery SASA since 2011. Otašević held over thirty solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions in Serbia and abroad. Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade organised the biggest retrospective exhibition of his art work in 2003. Otašević received some of the most significant awards for visual arts: "Politika" award from the "Vladislav Ribnikar" Fund (1985), "Ivan Tabaković" (1992), October Salon Award (1993), Nadežde Petrović Memorial Award (1994), "Mića Popović" (2000), ASA Award (2001), "Sava Šumanović" (Novi Sad, 2002), City of Belgrade Award (2004), "Milan Konjović" (2010). Otašević lives and works in Belgrade.
